Production Team Line Lead

Summary
The Line lead supports shift operations in a beverage manufacturing environment, with a strong hands-on focus on high-speed production equipment including fillers, packers, labelers, palletizers, and blow molding systems. This role supports production line activities to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality beverage production while maintaining compliance with SQF, GMP, food safety, and quality standards. The lead works closely with the Production Supervisor to achieve productivity, efficiency, and quality goals.
Key Responsibilities

Lead daily production operations on beverage lines utilizing fillers, packers, labelers, palletizers, and blow molders

Assist Production Supervisor with production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency

Monitor line performance and make real-time equipment adjustments to maintain quality and throughput

Ensure all product meets specification; identify, reject, and remove non-conforming product

Lead training and coaching for new employees, including equipment operation and line flow

Conduct shift meetings and handoff exchange with crew and nightshift Line Leaders.
- Assist in the development, maintenance, and enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Complete and submit accurate production and shift reports to management

Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve line efficiency, quality, and reliability

Assist team members in troubleshooting complex equipment or operational issues

Enforce safety policies and maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment

Communicate downtime, quality issues, and production challenges to Production Supervisor

Report newly received chemical supplies to the Quality Control Manager for MSDS labeling
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

3+ years of experience in beverage or food manufacturing, preferably in a high-speed bottling or canning environment

Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience required

Strong working knowledge of fillers, packers, labelers, palletizers, and blow molding equipment

Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and support optimal line performance

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and production reporting systems

Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Manual dexterity required to operate production equipment
