Schedule: Sunday through Tuesday 5AM – 5PM & Wednesday 5AM-11AM (40hrs per week)

The Logistics Associate serves as the central administrative coordinator within the distribution center, responsible for managing daily shipping and receiving operations in a fast-paced, food-grade environment. This role ensures accurate transaction processing, inventory control, and effective communication with drivers, warehouse staff, customers, and third-party logistics (3PL) partners, while maintaining compliance with SQF food safety and quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound truck activity, including directing drivers to assigned dock doors and maintaining yard flow.
  • Process and verify Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping documents, and receiving paperwork for accuracy and compliance.
  • Receive finished goods and raw materials into warehouse management systems (WMS), including RAMP and PLEX.
  • Assign and communicate loading/unloading instructions to forklift operators and warehouse personnel.
  • Monitor inventory transactions to ensure real-time accuracy across all systems.
  • Retrieve, review, and update customer orders based on inventory availability and shipping schedules.
  • Work within customer-specific WMS platforms to manage order processing and reporting requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for truck drivers, customers, and 3PL providers, resolving issues and answering inquiries.
  • Maintain professional and timely communication via email and other channels with internal teams and external partners.
  • Perform general administrative and operational support duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer navigation.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), including RAMP and PLEX, preferred.
  • Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, or inventory control strongly preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced distribution environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers.
  • Basic math, reading, and writing skills required.
