PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate a sit-down electric forklift with double split forks to handle pallets, racks, and containers.
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers following proper safety protocols.
  • Transport finished goods from production lines to storage or staging areas.
  • Supply production lines with raw materials and packaging supplies as needed.
  • Safely stack products in warehouse racking systems and ensure stable pallet integrity.
  • Perform daily equipment checks and report any maintenance or safety issues immediately.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using handheld scanners.
  • Adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), food safety, and cleanliness standards in a beverage manufacturing environment.
  • Assist with pallet tags and store products in designated areas within the warehouse
  • Inspection of  products and trailers to ensure that quality standards are met
  • Participation in annual forklift certification training

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
  • 2+ years of forklift experience, preferably in a manufacturing or beverage production environment.
  • Proficient in operating double split fork systems and sit-down electric forklifts.
  • Experience with barcode scanning systems preferred.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, cold/hot environments depending on the season.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/sit for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.  Work involves long periods of sitting/driving for the duration of the shift. Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Work may involve exposure to chemicals.  Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: seatbelt use, eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, protective footwear, and hardhats. Clothing must be free of any frays, tears, strings, or embellishments.  For safety reasons, clothing should not be oversized, or extremely loose fitting and shorts, if worn, should be a modest length.  Employees are required to wear USH company logo shirts and protective footwear.  Sleeveless shirts, open toe shoes, and jewelry are not permitted.
